Short presentation

Teaches Business Studies courses. Main research interest is digitalisation and how it influences price models, business models and business ecologies. Also research on organisations' management control systems for sustainable development. Participates in Uppsala University's graduate school in Sustainable Development (GRASS). In addition active in various contexts outside the university, e.g. board member of the business association Tillväxt Gotland.

Biography

Received a PhD in 2007 with a thesis on how digitization has transformed the graphic industry. Carried out the graduate studies at Economic Information System (EIS), Linköping University and during this time also associated to the Swedish research school of Management and IT (MIT). Worked as a Lecturer and Assistant professor at Campus Gotland 2003-2020. During these years I, in addition to research and education, was also active as head of department, director of studies and undergraduate program manager. In-between 2020-2024 employed at the Department of Civil Engineering and Industrial Technology in Uppsala, where I participated in establishing education in Industrial Engineering and Management. Since 2024 I have been back at Campus Gotland and the Department of Business Studies.

For the past decade I have, together with research colleagues, been researching how digitalisation influence organisational price models and how these can be designed to be in line with its business model and the business ecology that surrounds the organisation. We have documented the experiences from this project in both books and articles and are continuing to develop methods for price model design in close collaboration with both companies and public organizations.

Since 2020 I am part of Uppsala University's multidisciplinary graduate school in Sustainable development. Here I am involved in the projects Digital innovation for sustainable consumption (DISCO) and Orchestration of Digital Sustainability in the Grocery Retail (ORCA) . In that context, I also study how organisations design business models and management control systems for sustainable development.
