Short presentation

Mette Ginnerskov-Dahlberg is an Associate Professor (Docent) in the Sociology of Education at Uppsala University. Trained as an anthropologist, she holds a PhD in European Studies from Aarhus University.

Research

Mette Ginnerskov-Dahlberg is a researcher specializing in ethnographic and longitudinal methods, with a regional focus on Western Europe and the South Caucasus. Her work explores the lived experience of migration, particularly the relationship between geographical and social mobility and the labour market integration of student migrants. In recent research, she has also examined the experiences of Indian medical students in Georgia, with a focus on migration, education, and future mobility pathways.
