From an early age I have been fascinated by history and religion, a fascination that has led me to a professional focus on early modern Europe, a field in which it is all but impossible to overstate the importance of religious belief in every facet of life.

Research

My doctoral work began as part of the research project Herrgårdarnas hushållning. Ekonomi, hushållning och materiell kultur på herrgårdar 1700—1900, led by Gudrun Andersson (Department of History) and Göran Ulväng (Department of Economic History). My dissertation, preliminarily titled Up, Down, and All Around: Identifying the Parish Rector in Trögds Contract, Sweden 1686-1792, investigates clergy families in Trögds Contract in Uppsala Diocese, with a focus on their actions and interactions in wider society.
