Biography
I grew up in Minsk, Belarus, and received my BSc and MSc from Belarusian State University. In 2007 I came to Sweden to do my PhD at KTH Stockholm with Mattias Dahl as the main advisor. After getting my doctoral degree in 2013 I was a postdoc at Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, Max Plank Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam-Golm, and at the University of Vienna. I joined the Department of Mathematics, Uppsala University in March 2016.
Research
I do research in geometric analysis and mathematical general relativity. In particular, I am interested in questions related to the notion of mass and center of mass in general relativity, and have worked on topics such as positive mass theorem, Penrose conjecture, existence of geometric foliations near infinity etc. I have also worked on questions related to metric theory of Lorentzian manifolds. You can find more about my research and collaborators here:
My research has been supported by Swedish Research Council and Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation.
Annegret Burtscher, Carla Cederbaum, Greg Fournadavlos, Edgar Gasperin, Jan Metzger and I are organizing JoMaReC, a monthly online mathematical general relativity colloquium. If you want us to notify you about upcoming talks please subscribe to our newsletter. You can find the recordings of the past colloquia here.
