Biography

Alexander Wallberg is a researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Uppsala University. He began his academic career in 2019 following his Master’s thesis, which involved simulating, building, and testing a bi-directional DC/DC converter as part of a project on artificial grid inertia. He completed his PhD at the Division of Electricity, focusing on the development of an energy management system (EMS) for the multifunctional building Dansmästaren in Uppsala. His work explored the integration and control of local battery storage and electric vehicles within the building's energy system. Since defending his thesis in 2024, titled From Parking to Power: Integrating an Energy Management System in a Multifunctional Building to Enable E-mobility, his research has shifted toward supraharmonics related to electric vehicle charging, smart control, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) applications.
