Short presentation
Prof. Suparna Sanyal is a molecular and structural biologist (cryoEM) who explores molecular mechanisms of protein synthesis and protein folding in bacteria and eukaryotes with focus on ribosome, translation factors, antibiotics and resistance, prion diseases, RNA biology (PFAR) and therapeutics. Sanyal has successfully reconstituted several bacterial (E. coli, Mycobacteria etc.) and eukaryotic (human) translation systems in vitro and engineered His-tagged ribosomes
