Short presentation

I am a PhD student in the Department of History of Science and Ideas.

I am interested in the history of science and medicine, environmental and animal history, and the French empire. My thesis focuses on theories and practices of animal breeding in eighteenth-century France. I examine how knowledge developed within the context of animal breeding shaped ideas about racial improvement of humans and other animals.
