Biography
I am working on my PhD within the Drug Delivery Group at the Department of Pharmacy, Uppsala University. My research focuses on nanoparticles for improved oral antibiotics.
Research
I aim to design interdisciplinary nanoparticles that can solubilize and transport an effective drug dosage to the intestinal epithelium for complete absorption. Here the focus is set on the nature of the building blocks to design nanocarriers that are stable in the GIT but at the same time highly membrane-permeable. I will couple this to in vivo relevant digestion-permeation assays to determine the biological fate as well as mechanistic cell studies to assess mechanisms behind absorption. This project is associated to the Uppsala Antibiotic Centre.
