Johan Kihlert

I'm a doctoral student since 2022 at the department of History of Science and Ideas.

My research mainly covers sami political history and post-colonial perspectives. My dissertation investigates transnational influences in the political strategies and concepts of various sami political organisations during the second half of the 20th century. I am also interested in indigenous internationalism and ideas of nationhood, modernity and tradition.
