Short presentation

I work as a project assistant in the research group General Practice, at the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences (IFV), focusing on research support, data analysis, and data visualization. In my role, I contribute to research projects through analysis, visualization, and practical support across different stages of the research process.

Biography

I have been active within General Practice at IFV since 2022 and work in a clinically oriented research environment. My path into research began through work with contact tracing, as well as related data collection and development during the pandemic, involving close engagement with data management and analysis in ongoing projects.

In my current role, I work with data analysis in R and produce visualizations with a focus on clarity, visual communication, and effective presentation, incorporating illustrative elements to clarify and strengthen communication. My work combines attention to analytical clarity with visual form, and I contribute, where needed, to making research questions and results more precisely formulated and easier to interpret.

I contribute to several projects and take part in discussions on research questions, methodological choices, and interpretation of data, where I also support the clarification and structuring of research questions and analytical approaches based on the needs of each context.

My work also includes coordination and documentation, including meeting notes, some support in teaching activities, and maintenance of the group’s website. In addition, I provide practical support in matters related to research data and digital workflows, such as storage, structure, and the use of tools.

This includes developing smaller tools, scripts, and prototypes, as well as contributing to practical technical solutions related to data handling and workflows, and working across different programming environments and tools when needed. I also contribute to the practical execution of digital and hybrid events, including recording and streaming.

Research

I contribute to research projects by working with quantitative data analysis, primarily in R, and by producing visualizations that support both exploratory analysis and the presentation of results.

My work includes processing and structuring data, conducting analyses, and contributing to discussions on interpretation and methodological choices in the projects I am involved in.

I also contribute to practical and technical aspects of the research process, for example in areas related to data management, workflows, and the use of digital tools. This includes developing smaller tools, scripts, and prototypes, as well as participating in development work when needed.

I contribute to ongoing projects within the research environment, including work related to real-world data and studies of prediabetes (e.g. AUTOMETA-preDM), as well as collaborative projects such as PREVENT where relevant.
