Short presentation
My thesis project is about the Finnish deserters who came to Sweden during the Second World War to escape the war and their military service. Central to the thesis is to identify the reasons the men gave for their flight and to put these reasons in relation to the political, ideological, cultural and social factors in both Finland and Sweden during the war.
