Short presentation
My project concerns how the Swedish beauty economy developed from the 1970s to today. I am interested in how women were shaped as consumers in an increasingly visual culture, not primarily as homemakers but as employees. The objective is to map how cosmetics and beauty markets developed over time, and study its relationship to late 20th century consumer culture.
