Short presentation
Bahre Kiros, PhD in Economics, is a postdoctoral researcher. His work focuses on the economics of natural resources, climate change/hazards, and energy transition. He uses large-scale household and city-level panel data with microeconometric techniques to produce policy-relevant insights. He has conducted research in Africa, Sweden, and beyond. Bahre teaches undergraduate courses (Introduction to Development Studies & Global Sustainable Development) and graduate course, Politics of Development.

Research
Bahre Kiros works within the Marcus and Marianne Wallenberg Foundation-funded research project “Enabling climate-resilient development: How disasters can act as a pathway to a safer and more sustainable world.” He is also affiliated with the Centre of Natural Hazards and Disaster Science (CNDS) at Uppsala University.
