My doctoral research focuses on contemporary queer and feminist experimental literature.

My broader research interests include the politics of form, experimental film, queer aestethics, writing and the body, and critical race theory. I welcome invitations to collaborate around - or to chat about - these topics.

Biography

I am a PhD candidate in Gender Studies with a background in Cultural Studies.

I have experience of teaching a broad range of topics, including film studies, cultural studies, and critical theory. Currently, I teach the course Gender, Sexuality and Bodies.

I have taught on the MA-level course Globalization, Race and Privileges at Uppsala University and the modules Politics of the Audiovisual, Film Theory, and Moving Image Spectatorship at Goldsmiths, University of London.

I coordinate the queer seminar together with Jules Han Amm.

Research

My thesis project "Somafictions: Bodybuilding in Contemporary, Experimental Literature" proposes ways to conceptualize the body through contemporary, experimental literature.

I have an ongoing collaboration with Mångkulturellt centrum, researching the limits of liberal democratic theory when it is thought through a no-border framework.

I am part of the Queer Studies Research Group and the Aesthetics Reasearch Group at the Centre for Gender Research.
