Short presentation

Roope Uola works on quantum measurement theory and its applications in quantum information. Of special interest are the investigation of the theoretical roots of quantum advantage, as well as the rigorous analysis of the benefits and limitations of current quantum technology platforms.

Keywords

  • quantum information
  • quantum measurements
  • quantum correlations

Biography

Roope Uola received his PhD from the University of Siegen in 2018. After a short postdoc at the University of Siegen, he moved to the University of Geneva for a postdoc in 2019. In 2022, he won the SNF Ambizione grant and was a junior group leader at the University of Geneva until 2024. In the end of 2024, he started as an assistant professor at Uppsala University.
