Short presentation

I am interested in the intersections of literature, history, narrative, and power structures. With a PhD from UC Berkeley and teaching experience across Sweden, Russia, and the US, I specialize in the Gulag, Soviet cultural history, and Russian literature. My work brings together archival research, literary analysis, and a critical awareness of contemporary politics—often with a focus on voices from the margins.
