Short presentation

I am employed as Senior lecturer at the Centre for Gender Research since February 2025. This semester my teaching includes cultural representations and methodology at the undergraduate level and the courses Family, Kinship and Reproduction and Race, Globalization and Privilege on the master program.

Biography

I have a background in literary studies and cinema studies. For more than a decade I have been researching the global politics of reproduction, with a specific focus on transnational adoption and transnational surrogacy.

Research

Areas of expertise

My research is situated within the broader fields of postcolonial and decolonial feminist theory, critical race and whiteness studies, political economy, feminist cultural studies and critical kinship studies.

Ongoing research

I am currently Principal Investigator of the three year project “Expanding Markets in Life, Exploring Emerging ART Practices in India and East Africa”, funded by the Swedish Research Council (VR 2021-04822).
