Short presentation

I am a child psychiatrist and child abuse pediatrician clinician researcher. My main research focus is on the detection of and response to traumatic stress and suicide in youth who have experienced maltreatment and other forms of childhood trauma.

I lead a team in the United States that has developed the first validated process to systematically address traumatic stress and suicide in healthcare and Barnahus settings, and we have international collaborations in Europe and Africa.
