Biography

Sajjad commenced his research in the Department of Computer Science at Uppsala University, Sweden, in 2025. His research is dedicated to deep learning-enabled image processing of hyperspectral mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) data. This work aims to facilitate untargeted analysis of MSI data, a task often challenging for human experts due to its inherent complexity and large scale.

Prior to his current role, Sajjad served as a Guest Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart, Germany, in 2023. During this period, he collaborated on the development of machine learning-enabled manipulation of acoustically actuated microparticles. He holds a Master's degree from Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey, where his research focused on integrating machine learning with 3D bioprinting for parametric optimization of the 3D printing process and defect prediction. Sajjad's academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tabriz University in 2016. His research interests encompass image processing, machine learning, data analysis, 3D printing, and complex fluid mechanics.
