Short presentation
The primary impetus behind my research project is to investigate the distribution, composition, and mineralisation of organic phosphorus within Baltic Sea coastal sediments, explicitly examining the role of microbes therein to better understand internal nutrient loading. It will also investigate which specific fractions resist degradation and become permanently buried.
