Research

I am involved in a wide range of research projects in close collaboration with multiple institutions. My research focuses on craniofacial anomalies—including cranial deformities such as craniosynostosis and cleft lip and palate—as well as traumatic skeletal injuries of the face.

Research on craniofacial anomalies addresses several key aspects, including surgical outcomes following craniosynostosis repair, brain development and function associated with the condition, and the genetic causes of craniosynostosis and cleft lip and palate. Additional areas of investigation include changes in cranial volume and intracranial pressure following surgery, fluid and blood replacement during cranial reconstructive procedures, and visual function in children with craniosynostosis.

Within the field of cleft lip and palate, the research also focuses on speech development and long-term outcomes following alveolar bone grafting in children. In addition, research on traumatic facial injuries examines outcomes after orbital reconstruction.
