Short presentation
Associate professor and senior lecturer in nursing science and district nurse specialist. My thesis at Karolinska Institutet was about parental support in maternal and child health care in Sweden and it showed a need for evidence-based methods. As a researcher, I have evaluated the introduction of structured forms on children's mental health at the BVC and a manual-based parental support to parents with children 0-5 years. I teach future nurses and specialist district nurses.
Biography
I started working as a nurse at Akademiska sjukhuset in medicine and cardiac care. My doctoral studies led me into parental support for parents with young children, and I have studied parental education provided in maternal and child health care and also been project manager in an evaluation of the manual-based parental support program Triple P, which is offered to parents with preschool children. In the CHAP research group, I have worked with other researchers to evaluate and implement methods for detecting mental health problems and communication problems in young children within child healthcare in Uppsala County. Since 2020, I have been a senior lecturer at the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences. In the nursing program, I am responsible for improvement science for quality development.
Research
Since 2011 I have my research in the research group CHAP, Child Health and Parenting.
In CHAP I was project leader in the study Focus on Children and Parents during 2013-2017.
Since 2020, I have in my lectureship a combined position at the Academic primary care center in Nära Vård och Hälsa in Region Uppsala. I conduct studies in the child health care, but also studies concerning elderly and fall prevention and implementation.
