My overall research interest is the governance of large complex organizations. In this field I deal with corporations as well as public organizations mainly investigating relationships between large stakeholders and top management.

Biography

My overall research interest is the governance of large complex organizations. In this field I deal with corporations as well as public organizations mainly investigating relationships between large stakeholders and top management. My research applies to different contexts: large publicly traded corporations, research hospitals, the biotech sector, and seed-capital settings. Of current interest is the impact that media and intermediaries such as consultants, have on relationships between stakeholders and top management of large complex organizations. A particular interest is how the relationships are organized as a response to media impact, also called mediatization.

In my teaching I have worked with students at all levels: undergraduate, graduate including PhD course, and executive education. Teaching has provided me with the opportunity to meet amazing and talented people, among them Chinese executives, young molecular biologists, and vicars-to-be in the Church of Sweden. All interested in developing their knowledge of management and governance.

In addition, I have extensive experience of academic leadership from positions such as Director of PhD Studies, Head of Department, and Secretary General of EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management & Business Administration).
