Short presentation

What happens to the Swedish language as Sweden becomes increasingly multilingual, when English dominates as the international lingua franca, and when the demands for language skills, both in speech and writing, grow stronger for nearly all citizens? These are important questions for the future in an increasingly globalized world, and they are central for anyone interested in the present and future of the Swedish language.

Biography

Teaching

I mainly teach courses in sociolinguistics and on linguistic theories and methods.

Research interests

Swedish LSP texts, school text books, language planning and language policies.
