ALMPUB
The ALM-Field, Digitalization and the Public Sphere (ALMPUB)
Description
The ALM-Field, Digitalization, and the Public Sphere (ALMPUB) was a research project that examined the influence of digitalization on the roles of archives, public libraries, and museums as public institutions.
The project's aim was to understand how digitalization and globalization affect the mission of ALM institutions in supporting and strengthening the public sphere. It was organized around two main research questions:
- How does digitalization change the role of archives, public libraries, and museums as infrastructures for an open and enlightened public discourse?
- How can archives, libraries, and museums enhance digital resources through user participation? In what ways can users contribute to facilitating an open and enlightened public discourse?
