Management and organisation
The research in organisation and management investigates the organisation of society, and is internationally renowned as a leading research group within the tradition of institutional organisation theory.
We have a long history of empirical studies of the organisation and governance of public sector organisations. Our current research spans from the organisation of start-ups to investigating new forms of governance of universities, Swedish aid, authorities, schools, and firms through rankings, evaluations, mediatisation, and competition.
A common theme for our research efforts is attention to the big and pressing questions of contemporary society, many of which are related to the organisation of the welfare state.
