Accounting
Accounting research is concerned with understanding how accounting is formulated, used and how it affect individuals, organisations and society.
Accounting is the language for communicating financial and non-financial information. This makes it important to understand how accounting is prepared, used and how it affects individuals, organisations, and society. We try to contribute to this understanding by investigating and problematising the design, use and effects of accounting information within and between organisations. We conduct research in four main-areas of the broad accounting field:
- Financial Accounting
- Finance
- Management Control
- Enterprise Information Systems
The Accounting group is associated to the research schools The research school in Accounting (FIRE) and The Swedish Research School of Management and IT(MIT).
