Solar parks as flexible resource in space and time

Description

There has been an explosion in installed solar parks in Sweden and Europe, what is the potential of this large-scale solar power? And how can large-scale solar power be used to stabilize the electricity grid.

This project investigates the expansion of solar parks in space and time, mapping geographically and temporally the current state of the art and modeling future scenarios. The project also contributes to the development of models for utilizing large-scale solar park participation on electricity and frequency markets, in this case with or without local stationary battery storage.
