The division of Industrial Engineering and Management is part of the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering. Industrial Engineering and Management is an interdisciplinary engineering subject that deals with value creation.
An interdisciplinary engineering subject
At our department we conduct research and education on value creation; how technology-intensive products, services and combinations thereof are developed, produced, sold, maintained, renovated and recycled, all to create economic, social and environmental value.
The subject, industrial engineering, spans several academic disciplines such as organisation, leadership, management, project management, entrepreneurship and innovation, strategy, quality management and financial management; to industrial and social marketing, purchasing and supply chain management; to production management, automation and optimisation.
