Welcome to Campus Gotland in Visby and the Division of Quality Science. The division is part of the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering.
Focus on sustainability
The Department of Quality Science works with a wide range of organisations, from the hospitality industry to the development and production of goods and services.
Our subject area, sustainable business development, can be described as quality development for sustainable development - doing the right thing in the right way, which is based on quality engineering. We work on using and developing principles, practices and tools from quality engineering to fulfil stakeholder needs in a broader perspective.
The largest part of our activity is teaching. We also conduct research on a wide range of topics ranging from different approaches and tools from quality engineering to different aspects of leadership and management. Currently, much of our research is focused on the development and utilisation of hydrogen. Common to both areas is a high degree of collaboration with the surrounding community, not least locally on Gotland.
