Uppsala Center for Labor Studies

Uppsala Center for Labor Studies (UCLS) is an interdisciplinary center founded in January 2010 through a 10-year-grant from the Swedish Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte). Today, UCLS is funded by Uppsala University, as well as by a number of external research grants.

UCLS brings together researchers from the Department of Economics, the Department of Political Science, the Department of Sociology, the Department of Statistics, and the Department of Law at Uppsala University, as well researchers from the Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy (IFAU). The Department of Economics hosts the center.

Uppsala Immigration Lab (founded in 2019) is part of UCLS.
