Senior Lecturer Therése Fridström Montoya at the Department of Law has been awarded the 2024 Distinguished Teaching Award in the area of law and social sciences.

During a meeting of the Education Committee at the Faculty of Law, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Coco Norén stepped in to announce to a delighted and surprised Therése Fridström Montoya that she had been awarded the 2024 Pedagogical Prize in the field of law and social sciences.

The motivation reads:

Therése Fridström Montoya is an educator who meets the students with warm interest in all her teaching. In the classroom, she allows possible solutions for legal problems to emerge on the board in dialogue with the students in a way that ensures that everyone feels seen and able to contribute. Her teaching is grounded in deep material knowledge and builds on experience of the demands the students will face in their future professional life.

Facts

The Pedagogical Prize winners are nominated by students and colleagues. The final winners are selected by the Vice-Chancellor on the basis of proposals from a selection panel.
