Honorary Doctors and Doctor of Law honoured at conferment ceremony

Recently, it was time for Uppsala University's winter conferment ceremony, and on behalf of the Faculty of Law, Honorary Doctors Antje du Bois-Pedain and Elina Pirjatanniemi were honoured together with Doctor of Law Erik Grahn. Promotor was Professor Steffen Hindelang.

Earlier this autumn, Antje du Bois-Pedain och Elina Pirjatanniemi were appointed new honorary doctors at the Faculty of Law, and on 30 January they and Juris Doctor Erik Grahn were conferred doctorates together with the university's other doctors at the annual winter conferment ceremony.

At the ceremony, they were presented with the badges of honour; a doctoral hat, a ring and a diploma, by the Faculty of Law's promotor Steffen Hindelang. In accordance with tradition, the new doctors were also honoured with a canon salute at Uppsala Castle and the ringing of bells in Uppsala Cathedral. The graduation festivities concluded with a dinner in the Hall of State at the castle.
