Katia Cejie appointed visiting professor at Lund University

Lund University has appointed Katia Cejie as a guest professor at the Faculty of Law as part of the university’s initiative to recruit guest professors of underrepresented gender. The position amounts to 20 percent and will run for two years, 2026–2027. Cejie will assume her role on 1 January 2026.
In her regular position, Katia Cejie is a Professor of Fiscal Law at the Faculty of Law at Uppsala University. Her work there includes teaching, research, and a wide range of internal and external assignments. Her research focuses on international tax law, EU tax law, and issues at the intersection of taxation and social security, particularly in cross‑border employment situations.
She has a long academic career: Cejie earned her doctorate in 2010, became an Associate Professor in 2014, and was promoted to full Professor in 2021. She was also awarded Uppsala University’s Free Pedagogical Prize in 2019 for her contributions to gender equality and equal opportunities.
At Uppsala University, she also serves as Programme Director for the Master’s Programme in Comparative and International Taxation and holds several leadership roles, including Director of the Centre for Tax Law, CEO of Skatterättsligt Forum AB, and member of the Swedish Tax Law Council (Skatterättsnämnden).
As a guest professor in Lund, Katia Cejie will contribute to the research environment, teach at various levels, and strengthen the faculty’s work on gender equality and equal opportunities.
