As a Wallenberg Academy Fellow, Moa Lidén will work at Uppsala University and receive funding for five years for her research on evidence in criminal cases. Can the evidence be strong enough to establish beyond reasonable doubt that someone has committed a crime? Moa will explore sources of error in criminal evidence, with the aim of making the criminal justice process evidence-based. Which methods are best for assessing a person's age, whether a person is lying, or whose DNA is at a crime scene? Moa Lidén and her research colleagues study these and other questions in a research network called EB-CRIME.
