On 23 March, the Department of Scandinavian Languages at Uppsala University will celebrate Nordic Day with a public event at the Humanities Theatre in Engelska Parken.
The event will be held in Swedish.
The event highlights the Nordic linguistic community and the role of language in fostering cooperation, understanding and a sense of community in the Nordic region.
In conjunction with Nordic Day, attention is also being drawn to the fact that the Department of Scandinavian Languages has recently launched a new bachelor’s programme – the Nordic Studies Programme.

- 15:30 – Språkrådets roll i det nordiska samarbetet (Anna Heuman, Språkrådet)
- 16:00 – Mingling with a Nordic wheel of fortune. Musical entertainment (Matilda Edgren). Refreshments and book table (Föreningen Norden, Isländska sällskapet and Nordiska studierådet)
