During AIMday Culture-Driven Placemaking we explore how culture can contribute to creating vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable places around the Uppsala region.
Please note that the day itself as well as the website will be in Swedish. Of course, you are welcome to speak English and ask questions in English. If you would like an entire session to be conducted in English, please indicate this when registering and we will do our best to accommodate you.
During the meeting day, researchers and other societal actors gather for hour-long facilitated discussions – a format that promotes in-depth conversations. The day also includes time for networking and presentations from research funders.
With culture we can understand, change and imagine the world. Culture has a unique ability to spark creativity and open up new possible futures. Together we will discuss how culture can build bridges between past, present and future, and how artistic and creative methods can help us revive, reshape, preserve and recreate places. It’s about inviting culture into community building, not just as decoration, but also as a driving force.
