Book production

The Library provides advice on all matters related to book production at Uppsala University, such as assistance with applications for printing grants, and contact with printers. In addition, we can also offer assistance with design, typesetting and image management.

Printing grants

Applications for printing grants from Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis (AUU) and the Vilhelm Ekman University Foundation can be submitted year-round.

Decisions on the allocation of printing grants are made once per term. The deadline for applications is 1st April for the spring term and 1st November for the autumn term.

Print on Demand (POD)

As an alternative to more traditional printing, publishing through print on demand is also offered. In this case, the printing is paid for by the end customer, but any other costs associated with book production (for example typesetting) remain.
