Open Library of Humanities (OLH) offers open access publishing without publishing fees. Instead, publication costs are funded with grants from universities and research funders around the world. Uppsala University is one of the universities that support OLH.

Who can publish with OLH?

Researchers, employees and students who are or have been affiliated with Uppsala University when the article was written.

The publisher has no automatic discount system. Inform the publisher that you want to use the university's discount when you choose to publish with open access.

What is not included in the agreement?

What is included in the agreement?

• With funding through SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics), the central high energy physics journals have been transformed into fully open access journals. Uppsala University is one of the Swedish Higher Education Institutions that contribute financially to the SCOAP3 project. Researchers at Uppsala University can therefore publish with open access without an article processing charge in the project's 11 journals.
• Submitted articles must be in the discipline of high-energy physics.
• The following publication licenses are covered by the agreement: CC-BY.

SCOAP3 would like authors to include their ORCID ID when submitting their article.

Information is available on SCOAP3's website under 'author guidelines' in the various journals.

What is not included in the agreement?

• The agreement does not apply to articles that do not contain new research, such as Editorials, Announcements, and Book Reviews.
• Other charges such as page fees, colour fees, figures etc. are not covered by the agreement.
• Publishing on the F1000 Research platform and in journals published by Dove Medical Press is not included in the agreement.

• Most articles are published with a CC-BY license, but there are some journals that only offers CC-BY-NC or CC-BY-NC-ND licenses.
