The Uppsala University Main Building
The University House is an important part of Uppsala University's history and cultural heritage. This exhibition depicts the building's origins and its prominent role in Swedish architectural history. Through original drawings and sketches, visitors gain an insight into the building's architecture, interior design and artistic decoration.
The exhibition is curated by Anna Hamberg at the Department of Art History.

Elsa Beskow in our collections
The personal archive of Elsa Beskow, one of Sweden's best-loved children's authors, is held at Uppsala University Library. The archive contains working material from her entire long and creative professional life.
In the exhibition, visitors can take part in unique sketches, manuscripts and preparatory work for several of her most beloved works.

Codex argenteus
Codex argenteus – Latin for "Silver Book" – is Sweden's most valuable book and one of the world's most famous manuscripts.

Carta Marina
Carta Marina was printed in Venice 1539. It was the first map that represented the Nordic countries in a more-or-less correct way.
