Plant database
You can search the collections of the Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala to see which plants we grow and where in our gardens they are to be found. To search:
- go to the website https://websites.rbge.org.uk/multisite/multisite3.php

- enter one or several words of the scientific or Swedish name in the search box
You can use both upper- and lower-case letters. Omit author names and abbreviations such as ssp. and var. When using Swedish names you must write a, a, and o in stead of the letters å, ä, and ö, respectively. More search tips are found at the bottom of the web-page.
- uncheck the box in front of The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
- check the box in front of The Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala (last in the right column)
- click "Submit"
- Below "Search results" you will see if your search retrieved any hits
- To see the result(s) of your search click "View results".
Search Tips:
Either * or ] can be used as wildcard characters at the end of any search values. For example to search for all values starting with Mag, enter:
mag* or mag]
Multiple search criteria should be separated by a comma.
For example to lookup only Clivia nobilis, enter:
Clivia nobilis
To look up both Clivia nobilis and Camellia japonica, enter:
Clivia nobilis, Camellia japonica
