About HDS

HDS stands for Health Data Sweden and is a consortium of 18 Swedish partners, everything from universities, innovation hubs, research institutes and science parks that unite in their mission to accelerate the digital transformation in health data for SME’s and the public sector, using key technologies.

Uppsala University is a proud member of the consortium and is represented by the Participatory eHealth and Health data Research Group.

HDS is cofunded by the European Union and Vinnova.

Maria Hägglund

Maria Hägglund (associate professor in health informatics and a senior lecturer in implementation science at Uppsala University & Uppsala Academic Hospital) head of the Participatory eHealth and Health data Research Group says:

The management of health data constitutes an increasingly work load of the daily health and care work. Greater demands are placed on interoperability and cooperation between different actors in the management and implementation of digital solutions.
