Our seminar series cover different areas and perspectives of health data, and we especially welcome participants from regions and municipalities, but SMEs and others are warmly welcome as well.

Each seminar has a theme and invited guest speakers, experts in the area. The seminars take place at House 82 at Uppsala Academic Hospital, but you can attend the seminar digital as well. We start at 3pm and after the one hour seminar we have allocated some time for mingle and network. Maybe you will find a potential future collaboration partner to unite in the mission to meet future challemges and create a better healthcare.

AI-Assisted Medical Charting in Practice – Experiences from a Digital Psychology Clinic
With Louise Lind (Mindler) and Ludwig Honk (Tandem Health), May 7, 12:00–13:00, online

How does AI-assisted charting work in real clinical practice? How does it affect the work environment and the quality of clinical notes? What concerns exist, and are any of them realized when the technology is pilot-tested?

In this seminar, we will share our experiences from piloting and implementing AI-assisted charting in a digital psychology setting. We’ll discuss the practical and ethical challenges we encountered, how we addressed them, and the outcomes we've observed. We will also provide a hands-on demonstration of how the technology works.

Louise Lind is a licensed psychologist, PhD candidate in psychology, and works with research and development at Mindler, Sweden’s largest digital psychology clinic.

Ludwig Honk is a licensed psychologist with a dual degree from the Stockholm School of Economics. He is responsible for clinical psychology and psychiatry at Tandem Health, Sweden’s leading company in AI-assisted medical charting.

Addressing Gender Bias in Healthcare AI – A Sociological Perspective with Anna Isaksson
September 9, 12:00–13:00, online

AI is increasingly used in healthcare, from image analysis to treatment recommendations. However, research shows that such technologies can reinforce gender-based inequalities through biased data and stereotypical assumptions. Measures like inclusive data collection and interdisciplinary collaboration are often proposed to reduce bias—but these frequently overlook social and organizational dimensions.

Such measures often lack clearly defined responsible actors, ignore power dynamics and knowledge hierarchies, and are based on the assumption that more knowledge automatically leads to change. As a result, these recommendations risk falling short in practice and reproducing the very inequalities they aim to address.

Anna Isaksson is Associate Professor of Sociology at the School of Health and Welfare at Halmstad University. Her main research areas include norm-critical design, and issues of gender, equality, and diversity in working life and higher education.
