About

Technology and Society is a joint program between UUniCORN and the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering, with primary funding provided by UUniCORN.

The program explores paradoxes and goal conflicts of technology for sustainable development across social, environmental, and economic dimensions.

Technology and Society consists of three interconnected components with distinct funding structures, thematic scopes, and research development strategies:

1. Technology and Society Grant Development 2026

A larger, multi-theme research development platform within Technology and Society, with the purpose of developing external funding proposals and deepening the selected research tracks

2. Techno-Philosophies of Transformation

A thematic anchor project that aims to critically examine the philosophies and ideologies underpinning ongoing processes of technological societal transformation

3. Social Sustainability in the Implementation of IoT Solutions in the Public Sector
