New alumni association
Have you been a member of the Royal Academic Orchestra and would like to join an alumni association?
The preparations for the major anniversary year in 2027—when Uppsala University celebrates its 550th anniversary and the Royal Academic Orchestra marks 400 years—are in full progress. In connection to this, Musicum, in collaboration with the orchestra’s Social Club, has initiated the creation of an alumni association for former members of the Royal Academic Orchestra.
We are therefore exploring whether there is interest among you alumni in establishing such an association. The idea is that Musicum and the Social Club will support the initial formation of the alumni association, after which it will stand on its own as a non-profit organisation with its own structure.
Here are some examples of what the association could offer:
- Reunions and social events & parties
- Newsletters
- Priority access to concert tickets
- Opportunities to make music together – alumni concerts or joint projects with current members
