Connect to Remote Desktop at Ekonomikum
In order to connect via Remote Desktop to any of our computers at Ekonomikum Uppsala, you must connect via our gateway.
Choose connection
Choose which server you want to connect to.
Click on one of the links below to download an .rdp file. Save the file in a suitable place on your computer and use it every time you connect to the server or your own computer. The easiest way is to double-click on the file.
To connect to your own computer, enter your computer's IPv4 address.

Please note that this will only allow you to connect to the computer of your choice, additional rights are needed to log in.
Instructions for connecting to remote desktop (Windows)
Step 1
Download an .rdp file as instructed above.
Step 2
Double-click the .rdp file. If you are asked whether you want to connect, select Connect.
Step 3
When asked for your username and password, enter your username followed by @user.uu.se and password A.
Instructions for connecting to remote desktop (MAC)

Step 2
Right-click on the downloaded .rdp file. Select “Open with” and select the correct program version. If you have multiple versions of Microsoft Remote Desktop installed, select the latest version of Microsoft Remote Desktop.
Step 3
When asked for your username and password, enter your username followed by @user.uu.se and password A.
To simplify future connections (Mac)
- Start Microsoft Remote Desktop.
- Then go to the Connections menu and select Import Desktops.
- Import the downloaded .rdp file so that the file's information is saved in the program.
- The next time you start Microsoft Remote Desktop, the saved desktop/path will be there.
