Content
The content of the course Strategic Management Control and Digitalisation covers both subject specific knowledge in the field management accounting and knowledge linked to research design.
During the subject specific part of the course, the following areas are mainly covered:

The course consists of lectures, seminars, case discussions, as well as group and individual assignments. Detailed guidelines on the various tasks and their submission deadlines will be provided at the start of the course. Active attendance at the course seminars is mandatory. A mandatory quiz on cheating and plagiarism is carried out. Instruction will be in English.
Assessment
The examination consists of four modules:
- Seminars, Groupwise and Individual Assignments, 4 credits (U, G, VG)
- Written Exam, 6 credits (U, G, VG)
- Research Design, Written Assignments and Seminars, 5 credits (U, G)
- Quiz on cheating and plagiarism, 0 credits (U, G)
and a collective grade is given for the entire course, 15 credits.
In Module 1, the examination is carried out individually and in groups, while the examination in Modules 2 and 4 is an individual examination. In Module 3 examination is carried out in groups. Grading criteria are presented in the study guide that applies to the course section. Examinations that are not submitted on time will not be graded, unless special circumstances can be substantiated. Any supplemental assignments considering Module 1 must be submitted at the latest at a time specified in the study guide.
In Modules 1 and 2 the grades Fail (U), Pass (G) and Pass with distintion (VG) are used. In Modules 3 and 4 the grades Fail (U) and Pass (G) are used. Students who have not attained a passing grade on Module 1, can be examined without re-registration via a make-up examination at subsequent course sections. Students who have not attained a passing grade on Module 2, can be examined without re-registration via a re-exam at subsequent course sections. For a student who has not attained a passing grade on Module 4, there is the opportunity to be examined without re-registration via a retake of the quiz at a subsequent course section.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
Uppsala University does not accept cheating or plagiarism. Suspected incidents of cheating or plagiarism are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, which may issue a formal warning to the student or suspend the student from studies for a certain period.
