Abstract: We use the correspondence between the Type IIB branes and representations of the quantum toroidal algebra to give an algebraic construction of the K-theory vertex counting sheaves on C^3 introduced by Nekrasov and Okounkov. We comment on the possible physical and mathematical implications of this new approach.
