Social innovation in theory and practice
The course aim to provide PhD students with a theoretical basis in social innovation. The course aims to provide insights into conceptual and empirical research in this field. Thematically, social innovation is highlighted in relation to inclusion and sustainability in organizations and society.
Learning outcomes
After the course, students should:
- Describe and explain social innovation in theory and practice.
- Critically reflect on social innovation in relation to inclusion and sustainability in organizations and society.
- Describe and explain how existing knowledge on social innovation can be used in the participant’s research process.
Contents
Seminars with lectures, workshops, presentations and discussions. The course is given through hybrid teaching online and on location.
Instructions
The two first sessions are online, with discussions on literature, lectures and student interaction. The last two sessions are full day workshops on location in Uppsala.
