Study on reduction of hospital beds covered in media
A study by HEFUU researcher Jonathan Siverskog on reductions in hospital beds has been featured in the press.
The study, titled "The Health Cost of Reducing Hospital Bed Capacity," finds that a reduction of three hospital beds leads to one extra death per year. Social Science and Medicine published the study, and, in turn, Uppsala Nya Tidning and Sveriges Radio covered the findings.
